Welcome to the 2019 SeaPerch Challenge! It's sure to be an exciting year with a new challenge course, 200+ incredible teams and much more. Find out all the ways you can get involved below.

Dates: June 1-2, 2019 (please note that this is a two-day event)

Location: University of Maryland, Eppley Recreation Center, 4128 Valley Drive College Park, MD 20742

SATURDAY, June 1
8:00 am - 1:00 pm Team Check-in and Compliance Review
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm Opening Ceremony
3:30 pm - 7:00 pm Competition & Citizen Science Activities
7:00 pm - 9:30 pm Team Social & Pool Party

SUNDAY, June 2
8:00 am - 3:00 pm Competition, Citizen Science Activities, & Engineering Process Presentations
10:00 am - 3:00 pm STEM Expo
3:00 pm Awards Ceremony

Spectator Registration

Want to join all the fun? Click here to register as an official 2019 Spectator.

$50/each

Any person (classmates, teachers, mentors, advisors, parents and friends) may* register as a spectator for the SeaPerch Challenge. The registration fee is $50 and includes:

  • An official t-shirt
  • Access to all competition events
  • Lunch on both days of competition

Spectators should make reservations for accommodations at nearby hotels, if needed. 

*It is not required to register as a spectator to attend the competition.
