cubes too heavy

I have built the 2017 challenge course and also made three cubes to specs.  However, the cubes are too heavy to be lifted by our three-engined ROVs.  Is anyone else having this issue?  We could add buoyancy, but we are concerned that our ROVs would then be too buoyant for the obstacle course.

I think we should take out the ballast and make this so for all regional, state, and national contests.  Stock class ROVs cannot lift the cubes with the studs in them currently.

We have been having the same issue...what did you figure out to do with this?

The ballast (studs) has officially been removed from the cubes.  Additionally, 4 pieces of "backer rod" foam has been added to the cubes to help balance them out a bit.  There were a couple of posts in the FAQ for Nationals regarding this.  I'm attaching screen grabs of those here.  The information on the Challenge has also been updated on the "Rules & Events" page for Nationals.  http://www.seaperch.org/2017-Course
