(Help) Need new Switches

(Help) Need new Switches
Posted by AM Murphy at 2016-04-20 22:50:54

We have had several ROVs have horizontal thruster switches go out. We have looked at Seaperch site and they are $163 for pack of five, We have regional competition in two weeks and no money in school budget to puchase five. Is there any third party source to direct parents to purchase new switches individually? We are a middle school in our first year participating in Seapearch.

Thank you for any help.

I hope ou found your switches in time..Ebay is a great source for inexpensive components... just you need lead time.. we are in a similar budget situation and we can build boards and control boxes for about $15.

Here are some substitute switches we have used.  We purchase them through a local district-approved vendor for electrical components.  I think they're around $3 - $4 each.

Radio Shack is having a clearance sale.  I found several toggle switches (for .75 a piece.)  Could not find the push button switches.  Soldering supplies are also 50-80 % off.  Stock up for next year!
